Youngsters pick out books from Stratford Landing Elementary PTA’s book mobile on July 9. On Wednesdays through Aug. 9, children can grab a book and a Popsicle from 10-10:30 a.m. at Gum Spring Community Center, 10:45-11:15 a.m. at Riverside Gardens pool, and 11:30 a.m.-12 p.m. at Stratford Landing pool. The Stratford Landing Women's Association donated $1,500 to the effort which went towards purchasing more than 60 chapter and nonfiction books. Additional books came from the community through book swaps and donations.
